    Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary, now well-known as Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary. It was announced as 1st wildlife sanctuary in Maharashtra in 1958. This sanctuary was also famous as by the name of “Bison Sanctuary”. The current surveys noted about 425species of plants, 47 species of Mammals, 264 species of birds, 59 species of reptiles, and 66 species of butterflies was obtained in the sanctuary. The central attraction of the sanctuary is Indian Bison or gaur (Bos gaurus). According to the based of 2004 survey, the population was around approximately 600+. Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary is a huge getaway from Mumbai and Pune for wildlife addict.
